This is our guiding principle when we recruit. Every carer who joins Sirius must pass our ‘Mum Test’ – because nothing matters more than trust.

Because you can teach skills and knowledge in a classroom or out in the field – but you can’t teach someone how to genuinely care and act with compassion. That comes from within.
Highly trained, always learning
Every new Sirius Superstar (whether they’re an experienced care professional or completely new to care) completes a comprehensive induction training programme – combining classroom learning, e-learning and hands-on shadowing.
Training doesn’t stop there. We provide ongoing support, mentoring, and opportunities for fully-funded further vocational qualifications, so our carers continue to grow and develop throughout their career with us.
